Do you sing in a choir?

All choirs who come to Leicester Sing for Water are invited to showcase one song from their own repertoire on the Riverside Festival stage as part of our event, in addition to joining in the 6 "massed choir" songs.

All choirs who come to Leicester Sing for Water are invited to showcase one song from their own repertoire on the Riverside Festival stage as part of our event, in addition to joining in the 6 “massed choir” songs. The whole choir does not need to be present – a small group can represent your choir!

Where to find the songs for the “massed sing”

The songs for the “massed sing” are here on this website in the form of scores and audio recordings. Create a free singer login to find out more!

We have chosen songs which are relatively easy to learn – with not too many lyrics and lots of repetition – so that singers can listen to the recordings and learn their parts. If choir leaders can help singers to practice in choir rehearsals – even better!

Online rehearsals

All singers are invited to 3 online rehearsals in the weeks before the event, when Jane Bursnall, Willow Songsmith and Una May Olomolaiye will guide us through any tricky bits!

Rehearsal on Sunday June 4th

We will all rehearse together on the morning of the event from 10 until 12pm in the foyer of the Queens Building at De Montfort University, which is close to the festival site. You will find information about how to get there on the page on this website called “location”. Light refreshments will be available.
