We plan to have the same two communal songs for the 2021 Leicester Sing for Water event. A South African song Hlonolofatsa, and a very uplifting song The River by the Canadian singer-songwriter Coco Love Alcorn.

Anyone who enjoys singing is welcome to join the scratch choir raising money for WaterAid. If you are in a choir get your choir to join the project and learn the two communal songs together.

Registered singers can download the scores and rehearsal mp3s on this website. Then you can listen, choose the part that best suits your voice, and get practising so that you?re word perfect on the day.

Once you are familiar with the songs, you are invited to join Leicester Amika Choir for an open session at the start of their usual Saturday afternoon rehearsal at Claremont Methodist Church Belgrave LE4 7QA. The final ?polishing? rehearsal will be at De Montfort University on the morning of the concert.

In addition to the massed voices, choirs are invited to sing one or two crowd-pleasing songs from their own repertoire. Do take this opportunity to showcase your choir
