Once again this year we have chosen a programme that anyone can enjoy and perform well.
The songs we will be singing on June 7, 2015 will be:
A Bollywood romp with Bishal Regmi supported by the choir. Audience dancing mandatory.
Hamba ka ncane
We will walk softly and drive carefully as required by the times. A rousing folk song from South Africa brought to us by Una May.
Stomi E Milo
A Macedonian man dreams of owning his own shop so he can sit outside and admire the girls going by. Up tempo Eastern European song in 7:4 time.
Love is like a river
Written by Nick Prater with teach material by Susie Prater. Nick died last year, a great loss to the community choirs network. This is one of the many songs he has given us. Please join in, in a celebration of Nick's life.
Down by the Riverside
Gospel in top gear a Una May twist to a familiar song.
Bring a little water Sylvie
A blue grass feel to this one from Huddy Ledbetter, better known as Leadbelly. Well known and covered by many artists. An old man's grumbling becomes a perfect plea for water. The words are so appropriate for 'Sing for Water'.
